MusicMaster Virtual Breaks

The Virtual Break System allows you to schedule a single log from a single MusicMaster database, and export that same log several times with completely different breaks and automation commands.

There are two different ways you can use Virtual Breaks.

The Virtual Break Table allows you to export logs to multiple automation systems. The Table you create allows the insertion of the correct automation codes for each individual system.

By indicating the Virtual Break Number in the clocks, you will export the correct break. For each export design, you will have a separate Table. This is how you are able to maintain separate break text for separate automation systems. Your clocks will contain only placeholder lognotes that are replaced in the export file with actual breaks from the Virtual Break Table. Each clock can use any number of breaks from this table.

We also offer the Hourly Break Table. This allows you to export the same log to multiple stations, like a network would do. Each station might need to have different break text lines, and breaks at different locations in the hour. The Hourly Breaks Table allows you to do that.

In this case, you do not need to do anything special on the clocks, or add any lognotes at all. Simply assign a break table to each hour you export, and then add breaks to the tables. In this case, you will also specify the position within the hour for each break you define. Breaks can automatically be inserted in the hour at a specific position by time, number of songs, or hour location. Breaks can even be chained together in this table. As each hour is exported, the appropriate Table is loaded and the breaks from that Table are inserted into the export file.
